Interesting episode.

Gina Torres was delightfully creepy as Jasmine. So creepy, I had my own dream about it. Sheesh.

Definitely interested in what her game is.

And how'd Fred shake off the spell? I'm thinking that it was the obsessive-compulsive behavior she was displaying over the sweater. She asked the guy in the hospital if he'd ever been in the psych ward before...maybe she has a theory on it.

I think it happened when she kept washing until her hands bled ... sort of a wake up slap, pain and suffering to show the truth?

Saw the last half or so of it; very very first episode of Angel I've ever seen. Instantly hooked. Going to buy the first season DVDs today, probably, unless I decide to order the Keeping Up Appearances collection, Queer as Folk collection or .. or.. or.. naaah, I'm getting it anyway

Man, that was creepy as hell, all those people kneeling to her...

This was a wonderful episode. So creepy. Can't wait to see how this is all going to play out.

I think it was the failure itself that broke the spell for Fred. That will probably be how Angel breaks free as well - he's expressed his concern that he's failed Jasmine twice, once by nearly killing the man who attacked her, and secondly by not seeing that Fred was acting "oddly". That combined with his fear of happiness (and Angelus' return) will probably be enough, after maybe one more failure...

I loved Fred and Jasmine's little sit down in the bowling alley with all the carnage going on around them. Fun.

It almost felt like this ep was channeling a bit of the original Twilight Zone. The preview for next week's looks excellent. I can't believe that this is still a "bubble" show for renewal...

Since I knew from one of the previews that Fred would be the only one to break free, I spent a lot of the ep trying to figure out how. So when Jasmine was talking about being named, I thought that it might have something to do with that. You know, a "name the evil and you have power over it" sort of deal.

I'm so pissed I missed this ep. But an old friend of mine (and my family) showed up. He's leaving to do work with the US state dept. in Poland. So this was our last chance to see him before he leave. Oh well. Sounds like I missed a great ep however.
