Negative Zero said:lol, no. Angel and Co. ended world peace. for better or for worse, Jasmine was going to end war and hunger and, more than likely, eventually disease. at the cost of a few dozen people, she would have saved millions. Angel Inc. effectively stopped that from happening. W&H see this as batting for their team. or at the very least they're trying to create doubt in the crew as to whether it was the right thing to do.
afterall, it's never been shown that Jaz was just evil. even after most of her power was gone, she was still claiming nothing but love for the world. after she'd lost, there would have been no reason to go on with the charade. especially if she planned to kill everyone, anyway. plus she reffered to herself as "a Power-that-was", so it's likely that the whole situation isn't a cut-and-dried-black-and-white one.
I gotta admit, I'm kind of ticked that no one W&H on this claim. Jasmine had only killed a few people a day....so far. She also decided to wipe out all of humanity after she lost most of her powers. Anyone who defied her was put down, brutally. I'm sure, from Jasmine's perspectve, that everyone was a bunch of ingrates for not accepting her. I'm also sure that the several dozen people she slew in the meantime would have liked a say in events. Not to mention if she still had the Beast at her disposal...remember the several dozen folks she had killed before she'd even arrived.
It's an interesting notion, but frankly, I'm not buying it. If Jasmine had slain every human on the planet, that would have brought world peace, too. She wanted adoration and power, however much she honey-coated it. Having everyone her willing slave certainly acheived her goals. But I think her previous charges show how little she cared for her servants....she left them high and dry, until they started killing each other over schisms concerning her departure and return. Sooner or later, the same would have occured with mankind. Dry run? I doubt it.
