Gothmog, while I admire your style of play, I can't imagine doing it in my current game. My two melee-oriented PCs have spreadsheets devoted to just their characters:
-Using the weapon one-handed or two-handed?
-Raging or not raging?
-Bull's strength?
-Feat of Strength?
-Divine Power? Bless? Righteous Might? Enlarge? Prayer? Greater Magic Weapon? Invisibility?

And then they switch weapons, or get hit by a dispel magic....

It can take one of my players a full minute just to figure out what his current bonus to hit is. If I kept track of that, my game would slow to a crawl.

For myself, I generally don't tell folks what the AC is, but I encourage them to keep track of what numbers hit. If they know that a 25 hits, then they can tell me something like, "I rolled better than last time," and it speeds the game up.

However, I tend to have just one (or maybe two) fights per session, and they tend to be 2 or 3 ELs higher than the party is supposed to be facing. So I can take awhile longer to resolve combat than I could if I were doing 4 combats in a session.

not only do i never tell the players the bad guys' AC, i use the Defense Roll variant rule so that they'll never be able to figure it out on their own.

so we can have a situation where PC#1 misses the enemy with a 24, but PC#2 hits with a 17...
