The hallway seems to go on forever in both directions, but only ten doors open to your (now) Silver key.

Door 1: Wounded men in uniform are carried through the street. The uniform is unfamiliar, the men seem to be wearing chainmail and carrying short swords. Blocky 2 story white-washed buildings gleam in the sunlight. A worried faces peer from windows. Across the street a door is half open, a figure inside is in the act of opening or closing it.

Door 2: A city of crystal towers and tall stately trees. Exquisitely dressed Elderin dance on a marble plaza. One female with striking white hair and cloak set with a web design dances amidst a crowd. Visible from your door a large crystal is hidden behind a ornamental bush. Something dark pulses in the center of the stone.

Door 3: a man with a non-descript face, speaks to a mixed group of foreign humans, the clothes are unfamiliar folded robes, but the gold rings and other jewelry speaks of wealth. The humans seem worried, sweat beads on more than one face.

Door 4: A long scrubby hillside, sloping down. In the distance a now deserted a creek. Again there seems to be no structure around the door. The door opens about 6’ above the ground apparently hanging in mid-air. This time the area is heavy in shadow, although the sky appears clear.

Door 5: An arena floor with thousands of spectators. Some men fight with beasts, while a 9’tall green giant stands among bodies of fallen men and Halflings in stylized armor. A single battered Halfling trails behind it. The brute is heading for a man kneeling over a fallen companion.

Door 6: This is the deck of a long, narrow, rectangular ship. Sailors are pulling a soaking and disheveled woman over the side. The open deck is high above the water, and a long bank of raised oars sprouts from a lower level.

Door 7: A mob of upset farmers approach a man in priestly vestments. The walls of the large Hall hang with tapestries, at least two depict Iva the goddess of Water, Healing, Society, and Deception.

Door 8: The street seems filled with people in only shades of grey, black and white. Most are human, but around the edges of the crowd are smaller people, possibly gnomes or halflings. Amid the crowd there are only two spots of color, a young woman in a fancy gown of palest red, and a laughing elf in lavender. The elf is drawing disapproving stares.

Door 9: In an immense dark cavern, an elderin stands with sword in hand. Approaching is a party of lizard headed humanoids with gray scales. The humanoids are carrying picks, axes, hammers and a shovel.

Door 10: On one side a huge ape-creature with glowing eyes charges towards a legion shieldwall. On the other side a man in legion uniform, and a sheathed blade is talking to 3 tieflings. Overhead 2 tentacled star-spawn struggle with a round, winged creature with a huge mouth.

Warring is boring.
I send through my logistics officer to see if he wants to play with them, but I'm not interested.

Door 2: A city of crystal towers and tall stately trees , the streets are paved with marble. Exquisitely dressed Elderin dance on a plaza. One female with striking white hair and cloak set with a web design dances amidst a crowd. Unseen by the participants, but visable from your door a large crystal is tucked behind a ornamental bush. Something dark pulses in the center of the stone.
Hot elves with a dark secret. I like these things. Hmm.

Door 3: a man with a non-descript face, speaks to a mixed group of foreign humans, the clothes are unfamiliar folded robes, but the gold rings and other jewelry speaks of wealth. The humans seem worried, sweat beads on more than one face.
It seems like this place has a specific way of dealing with foreigners, which I'd be, and that those foreigners don't much like it. Not a great place to insert myself, methinks.

Door 4: A long scrubby hillside, sloping down. In the distance a now deserted a creek. Again there seems to be no structure around the door. The door opens about 6’ above the ground apparently hanging in mid-air. This time the area is heavy in shadow, although the sky appears clear.
It's probably just a Roc flying overhead. Strong choice.

Door 5: An arena floor with thousands of spectators. Some men fight with beasts, while a 9’tall green giant stands among bodies of fallen men and Halflings in stylized armor. A single battered Halfling trails behind it. The brute is heading for a man kneeling over a fallen companion.
HO HO HO, GREEN GIANT
I'll bet he's worth a lot of XP. Hmm.

Door 6: On the deck of a long narrow ship, sailors are pulling a soaking and disheveled woman over the side. The open deck is high above the water, and a long bank of raised oars sprouts from a lower level.
Pulling a woman ONTO a ship? This might not end well.

Door 7: A mob of upset farmers approach a man in priestly vestments. The walls of the large Hall hang with tapestries, at least two depict Iva the goddess of Water, Society, Healing and Deception.
I can't believe anyone would be upset at the priest of the goddess of Deception. She seems like my kind of girl. Hmm.

Typical. Colored people being abused by black-and-whites. I feel the urge to leap to their defense. Hmm.

Door 9: In an immense dark cavern, an Elderin stands with sword in hand. Approaching is a party of lizard headed humanoids with gray scales. The humanoids are carrying picks, axes, hammers and a shovel.
Elderin? Is that a really old elf? Whatever, it's probably just a public works project. Leave well enough alone.

Asmodeus vs. Cthulhu? Only under consideration if I have some kind of sanity-preserving sunglasses on hand, but if I can be someone secure in my mental state, then HELL YES. Let's find out who really is the lesser evil.

Cheers, -- N

Hey, what happened with the last door I picked? ;)

I would go with Door #9 this time. Not so much that this door grabbed me way more than the others - but the others just didn't spark much interest in pursuing what was behind them. So more of a lesser of the evils choice if you will.

The poll choices are misleading.

Wet woman on a trireme!!! :p Yeah baby!

scrolls down...........

..Sailors are pulling a soaking and disheveled woman over the side..:.-(

False advertising I say!!

I think it depends upon lessons learned from the last time I chose a door. We must have survived to choose another, so that's a good thing.

I chose Door #2, but would gladly swap it for what is inside the big box, Monty.

The only ones here that seemed really interesting to me were the sorts of places I try to stay away from! So I picked door one just because...
