agreed.I am adoring the new lore for these guys!! And the art is perfect! I'm excited to see what the rest of the kuo-toa stat blocks are like!!
That's a weiord interpretation. I think the text is clear: they know if there is something invisible or ethereal, and they can tell where it is if it is moving. The only real question is whether that means any motion at all, or actually using its movement.I think it just means they know if an invisible creature has gone to a new location.
