"Are you ready to take a journey through fifty years of DUNGEONS & DRAGONS?

D&D is often referred to as the single most influential game of all time. The beloved fantasy role-playing game is now in its fifth edition, and during its fifty years of existence it has impacted everything from the wider gaming industry and its most prevalent streamers to popular TV series like Stranger Things.

Illustrated throughout with rarely-seen images, Dungeons & Dragons Museum captures each stage of the game's evolution, from its inception in 1974 to the critically acclaimed 2023 movie Honour Among Thieves and the release of Baldur's Gate III in the same year. Discover how D&D grew out of the wargaming scene in the 1970s, continuing to innovate and reincarnate to ensure it remained the definitive tabletop game, whilst simultaneously branching out into all other forms of media, from cartoons to books.

This beautiful gift book is the definitive guide to all things D&D and a must-have for core and casual fans alike.

A deluxe visual history of DUNGEONS & DRAGONS."

Interesting. I see it on amazon.com for $28.74 but it's not prime. Don't see it at B&N.
Huh. Interesting.

Also, no free shipping on Amazon, at least not yet. Which is okay, but seems weird. Also several sellers are listing "Used - Like New" copies . . . .

Hasbro is the publisher, rather than one of their licensing partners like DK or Ten Speed.

And . . . no promotion for this at all! This just popped up as available to order immediately without any fanfare.

The book does look interesting, and for less than $30, I'll pick it up . . . although, probably later as I literally just ordered Puncheons & Flagons and also Worlds & Realms.

Younger me in the 80s could not imagine the world we live in today . . . competing D&D coffee table art books!!

Not how I was first hoping to get BG3 content into a D&D book, but I'll take it.

This does feel like these licensed books may be cannibalizing each other, though -- this is going to have to step on the toes of Art & Arcana and Lore & Legends quite a bit.
It does sound like perhaps it is a repackaging/combining of those two books. With having the two Art & Arcana books, I think I'm going to skip on this one.
