I have a ranger with quick draw and wondered if I could use quick draw with my grappling hook. Would you allow it? If so, how would you need the grappling hook / rope defined on the character sheet (e.g. on shoulder, on belt, etc.)?
While I'm at, are there any rules on using grappling hooks and ropes besides the single DC listed under athletics for climbing a rope? We were trying to figure out if throwing the hook as an auto success or not.
Fwiw, I had nothing in my hands at the base of a wall with an open window on the second floor. The DC to climb the wall is 20 (brick), but the DC for a rope is 10. So I yoinked (quick drew) my rope & grappling hook and threw it up to the window casement (move action? auto-success?), climbed up the rope (skill check a lot easier vs. DC 10) and into the room (move action, speed 7). I then set my target as a quarry (minor), and then used an action point to attack (using quick draw to pull out my longbow).
