D&D (2024) Thief Rogues and Items

I'd actually like if Rogues didn't have weapon mastery and instead used their cunning strike only since it mimics mastery. Barbarians could be the same. Make mastery feel special.
In that case though, you'd probably have to take it from Rangers and Paladins, since they have spell slots, leaving it a Fighter-only feature (which I'd be ok with).

Perhaps! Smite Spells can fill in for getting effects on attacks, and Hunters Mark could allow trading damage dice for effects too.

I'm still sad they didn't go with the 1/turn scaling damage for hunters mark.

Fast Hands is ridiculous from a fiction o prospective and should never be a thing.
Don't you often set a bear trap in a second? And perhaps their lockpicking is of the slap it the right away and it opens school of lockpicking.

When anyone can first-aid someone else's armored body in 6 seconds (while also moving 30ft), or jump onto their face from a tall tower without any real harm, or become better at crafting by killing a few goblins, we're just dealing with an interesting world in the first place.

I, for one, am absolutely thrilled at the Thief Rogue now, and aim to wall-run everywhere with their climbing speed.
