Any idea for a Chaotic Good Dwarf fighter

Both also add to combat ability. Sure BAB will be lower as a rogue, but sneak attack is a nice addition.

Ranger/fighter is probably best, since that's what she is (as you listed above) mainly complaining about (lack of skills). Of course, she should have started with ranger then.

Yes but it is her first character and she didn't care much about the skills at the time she just wanted to concentrate on fighting. Now that she is a 6 th level she understand the game better, she would like to add more flavor to the character.

Actually, none of them are. Holy Liberator requires you to be CG actually. That said, I don't always think its a good idea to model a character to shoe-horn into a prestige class.
I don't know, my LG Dwarven Ftr6/Mnk3/Def1/Dev2/Tmp2 does Ok. Although with him it was more a matter of finding the classes that fit his concept and gave cool benefits at the same time. His concept is basically "survivor/defender".

I was just suggesting the CG good equivalent. Holy Liberator is a great class (almost too good).

Ranger is good, but so is Barbarian! She can wear her Medium armor, get a speed boost, go Rage from time to time, and she gets better skills. Ftr4/BarbX is a potent mix.

Or she could pick up one level of Sorcerer and then go Dragon Disciple. (Her two Sorc spells are: Feather Fall and True Strike. They can be cast in armor at no penalty.)

Is her Wisdom okay? Consider Psychic Warrior (from the new XPH -- "Expanded Psionic Handbook"), or Cleric.

Is her Intelligence high? Consider one level of Psion, then go into the Prestige Class "Illithid Slayer" (again, from the XPH).

Does she like burning things? The Pyrokineticist no longer requires any specific psionic Powers, just that she take the "Wild Talent" Feat. It's particularly good for a Fighter who can specialize in the Fire Lash, or who likes using flaming weapons (+2d6 Fire damage at 2nd level). Pyro requires any Chaotic alignment.

Where can I find the holy liberator? She is actually an outcast, with her friend the Dwarven Cleric (of a CG dwarven diety) She was thrown out of her community for being too wild and unrespectfull of dwarven tradition. Her friend the cleric seeing that she has potential to become a great fighter of Haela Brightaxe decided to follow her in her exile and convert her to Haela's way.

While the godess way suits her style, she doesn't want anything to restrain her.

Defenders of the Faith. It's 3.0, but you shouldn't have too much trouble dealing with the rules changes. I would expect to see something in the Complete Divine coming out next month as well.

Personally, I would either use my varient fighter (as I dont like the core fighter as written) or allow the player to remake the character in the 3.5 ranger. Getting as close of an approximation as possible perhaps by exchanging an ability here and there for what she really is going for.

Failing that though ;) What level is she?

Tactical soldier, from the mini's handbook, while still having a small amount of skill choices has some better ones and has some pretty good class skills.

Still though, why not just come up with your own prc? If she is really far behind in the power/skill level that you think that she should be make the first few levels just slightly better than they would otherwise be, or something like that.

You could always convert a few interesting prcs into one prc, take out various abilities, mix things up a bit, come up with something interesting ;) That seems like one of the best solutions for this sort of problem.

Well, fighters are just that: fighters. I'd suggest taking rogue levels: If you want versatility, you have to give something else up. So you'll lose a little BAB.... Or take Ranger, who has good BAB and many skill points.

The XPsiH has a Feat called "Open Minded". It's a general Feat afaik and grants you 5 Skill Points.

Rangers are not sooo bad combatwise. If you want something else than the typical TWF or archer ranger, change the combat styles to Power Attack-Cleave-Great Cleave or Dodge-Mobility-Spring Attack for hunting rangers with spears...

Nothing wrong with that. :)

I just meant, that - when looking back - she would've been better off, but that doesn't mean that it can't work otherwise.

Hm...

I'd recommend the player to take on a spellcasting class. I know - this is not min/maxing, her character will probably at first be weaker than other characters but there might be an interesting role-playing attempt to it:

Wizard - She finally took upon the arcane arts to become a masterful smith of magic arms and armor...

Sorcerer - Locked deep inside her were all those hidden talents - the true meaning of her life that had been so long suppressed by her father who wanted her to tread upon his footsteps and become a fighter...

Cleric - After bringing glory to her deity in many adventures she receives call to a higher meaning by the clergy of her deity...

Druid - All these weapons and armor she finally finds are naught compared to the power of nature. The strength of stone, heat of fire, speed of air and compassion of water shall from now on be her guide to enlightenment...

Psion - While having her "crisis of faith" she recesses some time, spends hours and hours alone in a cave until she finally understands...
