D&D (2024) Any ideas for Avatar of Bane? Lvl 10 PCs?

Level 10 PCs... you're probably looking at, what, something CR 17-20?

Maybe lower the numbers a tad on and reskin the A5E Solar Counselor? It has a lot of I COMMAND THEE powers. It also has some Legendaries and it's an Elite. Elites in A5E are supposed to count as two monsters of their CR.
I'd say halve the HP, lower all the stats by 4-6pts.

You'd, ofc, know their capabilities best. 6 PCs though, they can probably handle quite a bit.

edit: also take a look at these other elite monsters- some are legendary.

Read it's stats thinking it's weak. Only CR 10 though. They defeated CR 17 Myrkul avatar (6 encounters, 6 PCs).

Archpriest is CR12 iirc. Currently front runner for DM special.
Sure. S'why I said either build it up or snatch stuff off of it.

Like Divine Wrath. Which, to me, wooooo boy! That is a power that absolutely fits an avatar or minor god!

Just "BLAM" everyone near me who isn't my worshipper gets messed up!.

Very adaptable!

It's only 8d6;). Death knight as Myrkul got them for 20d6 AoE.

I should probably mention level 5 aid is being used (Celestial warlock) and some other effect for temporary hp.

They seem to have 100-140 hp.

Well, sure...

At 8d6 and a DC 17 con save you make it a reaction they can take when they're attacked while bloodied, rather than a full round action!

Bane I'm leaning towards a fighter/cleric hybrid type with a focus on command/dominate type magic.
Before BG3, I had in mind a campaign revolving around the Dead Three (which I've since scrapped because there's no way I'd be able to escape comparisons to BG3). Whilst I wasn't using avatars, I was using Chosen, and for Bane, my immediate thought was Oath of Conquest paladin. So I started with the Blackguard from Volo's Guide to Monsters and added a variant of "Ilneval's Command" from the Orc Blade of Ilneval (also VGtM), as well as legendary resistances. I intended to adjust the attributes and derived stats (including spellcasting) depending on what level the party actually encountered the Chosen.

Probably not worth buying just for a single statblock, but Darkhold: Secrets of the Zhentarim has stats for Fzoul Chembryl and other high ranking Zhentarim that might serve as further inspiration.
