Any interest in a Paranoia PbP?? (non d20) (filled)

Oh yeah. As long as you aren't doing the DRAC-U-LA that we did at game day a couple of years ago. Let's see, I think a certain cat drew that one up. I've never done a pbp, but I'm game.

EDIT: I would need a pregen.

I'm not doing any of Piratecats adventures so no worry about that. I'm actually do my own adventures since I have found what works at the gaming table doesn't always works as well on a PbP.

that's fine. Are you familar with the game setting, alpha complex, the security clearence thing, the secret socieites, the different posittions of each trouble shooter?

and these basic questions really apply to everyone.
I know the basics, at least. Your stuff on Randomling's Board is a good refresher. :)

You know I've started to read through the game on the Randomling board and I was beginning to wonder if anyone actually had weapons. :D

in that group, only one player had any previous experience with the game. They picked it up (most of them) pretty fast but they are still way to nice and understanding of what is treasonious.

Once we get a sixth player, I'll be asking for what positions on the trouble shooter team people want to play. We can also either have one of those games that troubleshooters shoot first, or we can have something a little more serious where treason activity is reported first. THe computer fines people for minor treason and of course exucutes for the big stuff. That type of game would be a little more serious but no less deadly.

What's your preference (since the goal is for you to have fun)?

My usual attitude is shoot first, report later.

most people play that way, but the new rules really do a nice job with actually having the ability to ...gasp...run a campaign. it's an alien thought to me as well, a Paranoia campaign. But it is interesting enough to make me want to try it. But Paranoia is tough enough, and the right people for a campaign in it I think are harder to find then the right people for a one shot in it. Of the players we have I think AO is up to it, but he's the only one I know well enough to make a guess. The rest of you are familar names on a message board, and fett I meet and gamed with at a pair of Ohio gamedays. But its just not enough to really be certain.

So, that's why I want to see what people are comfrotible with. A more serious game requires more from you all. For instance I'd recomend a small word file that records any reasonios activity of the others that you report. And I know that would be more complicated being this is a play by post. So, we might try a simple one shot type and see what people think when that's done. Heck, a one shot game could still be a two month adventure on the boards.
