Any new news on fluids boards going back up?

Hey, I am glad everyone will have to use the CD, because right now I have to use the CD.

And if it helps slow down the pirating, it is well worth. (I said slow, not stop. If you think requiring a CD in a drive will stop pirating, then I have an acre of ocean front on antiartica I want to sell you cheap ;) )

Hey, and if you are really concerned about it, buy yourself a copy of the CD emulator software and you are all set. Heck, I have been considering that myself for my laptop. I have a copy of program that require the CD-ROM, but it would be nice not to have to switch. It is also great if you got kids, you can just set that up and store the kids cds someplace safe so they don't scratch them up.

I bought E-tools, and just like I do with EVERY piece of software I own, the first thing I did was download the no cd crack. I absolutely DETEST having to hunt the cd to run a program. I understand they want to protect their program from pirates, but IMO a cd check is a waste of time and money. It's a hassle ONLY for the people who actually buy the product.

Heh. :D I forgot I had CDSpace around here. In fact, that's how I used Core Rules 2.0, Diablo, Diablo II, etc, etc, without the CDs. Cool! Thanks for the reminder Therigwin! :)

I also find it very annoying that E-Tools requires a Cd in the drive, but the copy protection is laughable, it only checks if the CD is called ETOOLS. Just pop in your virtual CD-rom drive and call it ETOOLS and it should work...

Darrin,

There are several version of eTools around. Only the earliest gets away without the CD in the drive. And if you apply the patch (when it's available), the rumor is that you'll need it in the drive too.
