Any sign of Complete Champion?

Heh. I got mine last Wednesday... for Aus$35 or so. (At the current exchange rate, that's about US$29). Quite useful.

I really, really like Complete Champion. It has a few points of mechanical uninterest (I'm sorry - if you replace Trapfinding, it needs to be with something a lot better than Appraise Divine Items, especially with the new identification rules in MIC), but there are some excellent things in there.

Cheers!

Merric,

I just think I should be able to get it before June 5th. That's all. Glad the optimist likes it. Then again you're the WotC optimist...

Yeah, I only flicked through it, but it seemed like there was some interesting stuff in there. Paladins get a major, major boost from a couple of the new feats - I don't remember exactly what the details were, but I do remember my jaw dropping. As the Complete series goes on, the designers seem to be pushing the boundaries further and further. Not that this is a bad thing in any way, but there's definitely a bunch of bits and pieces in here that some GMs are going to outright ban. Different strokes for different folks though, I guess.

Humble,

True, but then again I always felt paladins suffered a lot because of the people playing them.

That said, my SL paladins probably would scare some people. ;)

There's one feat from it that we use (and the paladin loves!)

Basically:

Paladins can cast spells as a Swift action.

Really helps the paladin out, since he can actually cast spells now (and doesn't need to do pre-combat buffs, which suck anyways).

Wik,

Is that feat a general feat or something else?

(wonders why it's not here yet for Amazon...)

Darn Amazon! I knew I shouldn't have trusted you!

Nope. Canada all the way... and I don't know about the feat. I don't own the book... it's a player's resource. Just kinda gave it the skim, and realized it'd work well in our campaign.
