Any Unearthed Arcana Reviews?

I'm thinking about picking up Unearthed Arcana. I looked at the wizards list of variant rule options, but they're just names, I don't know what any of them mean in practice. Are there any reviews to help me out? I'm praticularly interested in magic systems, what do the domain sorcerer and incantation magic mean in terms of rules?

I figure I'll also nab Unearthed Arcana once I see one of those handy, dandy Walden Books gift certificates come in the mail from my Christmas purchasing, as I pinch my pennies, but I'm also a bit curious to see an actual review, instead of just rummaging through the various threads on the book. Not that I'm not doing that, as well, but, hey...

It's great in my not-so-humble opinion. I've had lots of complaints against d20 over the years, and this has options that take care of most of them. About the only thing that it didn't fix was the way d20 has come to dominate the market at the expense of some of my favorite lesser known systems. It might cause a little extra work on behalf of the DM because some of the rules will change the balance, but I think it's well worth it.

My favorite's:
Class defense bonus
Armor as damage reduction (which I believe was handled very well)
Spell points

Those three things alone make this a worthwhile purchase, but it's all a matter of what kind of game you want to run.

I have to say, UA is a GREAT product -for DMs. If you're only a player, you won't get much use out of it, unless you are able to badger your dm into allowing the options you want. And most of the options have to be implemented campaign wide, not in individual situations. UA offers some great options, but increases the workload of dms 100 fold.
