Just seeing if anybody here is a fan of this anime series.

I am an addicted to this series [worse than D&D] and and i am quite depressed how slowly AnimEigo is making progress.

Any other fans of Lamu-chan and crew on EnWorld?

Yah, I got the first three boxed sets. I rather have them take their time and do it right, but I am eagerly looking forward to them getting to the later seasons and opening credits. Especially "Rock the Planet", even the UFO club looks cool in that one.

how is the picture quality on the dvd? I was waiting on the movie and ova box set, and TV 26+

Is the TV episode quality crisper by far than the VHS? even if i get the stuff out nowTV1 through 15, it won't help with the Oni on my back. Only the new stuff will help me get my fix. but if the quality is real good i'll get the older stuff.

and to make maters worse Vis doesn't seem to keen on supporting the manga that much since they don't own the anime rights. sigh

Yup! In fact, I picked up six(!) of the video tapes at GenCon, mostly in the late teens/early 20s. TWELVE HOURS of UY I haven't seen before!

And my wife even sorta-likes it. (She likes anime in general (Magic User's Club was/is her current favorite), but I think she just kinda tolerates UY, and, for that matter, Dr. Who.)

Yeah, I'm also more into Ranma 1/2 and Maison Ikkoku than Urusei Yatsura, but then I've only read the UY manga (haven't seen any anime), which is so freakin' wacky it's hard to follow :)

I love Ranma 1/2; it's probably my favorite anime at the moment. :)

I haven't yet seen Urusei Yatsura, though. :(
