LOL, not a chance.

I might consider that for some companies... they aren't one of them.

AEG, on the other hand...

Even if I liked FFE (which I don't) I would never agree to that. $2000 - that's a lot of money.

Granted, I wish I paid $450 back in the day for a lifetime TSR subscription but FFE is not TSR and with all the companies competing right now, who knows how long they'll be around?

FFE is one of those companies that I have wanted so hard to like just based on the talent of the people involved. Unfortunately I have yet to see a single product that really interests me. I honestly wish that weren't the case since I do have a deep respect for the past works of the people who are part of FFE, not the least of whom is James Ward. Needless to say, I gave this opportunity a miss.

Hm... just out of curiosity... is there anyone here who got in on the TSR one? There's an investment that just keeps on giving, particularly if WotC is still honoring it as the article seems to imply... ;)

I'm with the rest of you on FFE. Calling their quality a mixed-bag is kind.

But I started thinking about the economy behind this. At around 25 bucks a pop, that's 80 books. I must have at least 3 times this much stuff in my garage collection, and that's after I gave away my massive Rifts collection. So figuring in that most of this was bought when games average about $20.00, that's about $5000 in material, just sitting in shelves around my house. Maybe I should have this stuff insured! I've never even spent that much on cars. Wow. Anyway.

I gotta agree with everyone FF's stuff is not so good. I even passed up several items of their's when my local WotC retail store went out and they had them at 70% off.

maybe if I was one of those rich folk born with all the money in the world and I never had to work EVER! I.E. whatshername Onassis, THEN I might CONSIDER going for this....if it was Mongoose, I'd definitely go for it.

I find it amusing that four days ago I read on gaming report that FFE had to pulp four books because of OGL violations. (Be an informed gamer and read more here.)

Now they are offering lifetime subscriptions for $2,000.

Me thinks that someone is running around the office saying '':):):):) the well is dry and it's got a big hole in it. This is going to cost a lot of money.''
