Anybody else bummed that they didn't get to game on International Game Day?

No major philosophical question, or even an entertaining anecdote. The schedule today just didn't work out to let me check out any of the numerous places where gaming was available in my area. Really too bad, too - I was lookign forward to some public celebration of my particular hobby!

So am I alone? Anybody else bummed that they missed out?

Vote Yes.

Nice poll ;p.

I had few options for PnP and none panned out. Hoped Morrus would be on, but that was not to be either.

Yes. Fealing bummed out.

I ended up spending the day working, so I didn't get a chance to play

However, I did order a couple of D&D products and managed to make it over to EnWorld for a while. News of D&D's 30th Anniversary made the front page of CNN.

So all is not bad news. Just remember, the magic of D&D is not inside the game; the magic is inside of you. ;)

Take a moment to reflect on your greatest game memories, and hopefully you won't feel bummed out much longer.

I was just kinda shocked to see my game (biweekly) fell on International Game Day.

So was the rest of my group.

I mean, I'm not usually much of a joiner... ;)

OTOH, we have a great game!

I was majorly disappointed. Only one of my gaming buddies could hang out that day so we got together and I started to plan out my character for the one shot holloween game he's going to run and he started to work on some DM stuff. Which was cool cause I usually GM so now I get to make a character even if it's for a one shot game.

I celebrated World Game Day by missing a sesssion of my group's regular campaign... for the first time since I started playing in it!

That's what you call ironic, it is.

I celebrated it by bringing a new member into the fold. No sister of mine will get away with being..."cool."

I was at a wedding out of town so no gaming for me, I was lucky I even got to watch Enterprise in the hotel room. I meant to send an email to my friends about it, so they could check out Endgame's new store in Oakland, but I forgot.

On the plus side, I got to tell my grandfather, cousin and aunt I was writing for a book. Grandpa looked at me like I was queer, my cousin at least pretended interest and my aunt just sat there faceless.
