I'm very impressed for a fan film. I definitly can't see the harm in downloading a free movie, especially one about starwars.

I keep an eye out on most fan films, so this one's definitely got my eye. Of course, nothing will ever, ever beat Star Wars in 30 Minutes, but that's not technically a fan film.

Oh, Troops is a classic and that's what started it all, but have you actually seen Star Wars in 30 Minutes? Its so great.

Its a fine line to tread, definitely. And I don't know the details, but I do know that Lucas is a huge fan of these fan films, so that probably has a lot to do with why they're allowed to be done.
