Anyone excited about A Game Of Thrones RPG?

Am I excited ?

<glances at goose bumbs>

Oh hell yes!

If GoO has captured the flavor and style of the books (and it looks like they have) then I may pick up a couple of copies just so that my players have no excuse not to play.

I am interested in the RPG, but I am a whole lot more interested in the next book in the series. If it ever comes out, that is.

Yes that website is good for people without the rulebook but would be equally important for those that do. I'm setting my campaign in year 195 (one hundred years before the books) & this site was a major source for the history of that time period. Ran was quite helpful as well! I think any who want to put the effort into making up their own system based on whatever should go for it! I admire you. My time is limited & for me what time I have I'd rather spend it building campaign material & adventures especially since GOO as done a great job so far (judging by the previews that is). Again I'm not knocking anyone that skips this game & does their own thing. I'm just glad I do not have to. Thanks Maester Luwin

Oh, and same here.

I can't wait for the Feast Of Crows either but having this game will & working on my campaign has eased the pain some during my wait. Now where did I put that milk of poppy? Thanks Maester Luwin

At least we can trust that Feast of Crows will be awesomely long. I think he's clost to 1500 final draft form pages at this point.

I just hope the experience of writing it hasn't burnt him out. I'd hate to see the series ended prematurely.

Martin is under pressure for sure. I think it bothers him not to have it finished but he is committed to having a great product. The RPG has added to his work load as well. I'm hoping by August/ Sept we'll know something. Thanks Maester Luwin
