Twin Sword Fighting from the FRCS is also decent.

I have FRCS. I'll check out Twin Sword Fighting as well. I may go with the 2 short swords so I can use Flick of the Wrist to full advantage.

Very interesting concept. Nice AC too! Was this character a duelist? What were your character levels (classes) if you don't mind me asking.

Nope just a Ranger/Fighter/Tempest 1/8/8 @ 17th Level

8th level is the Sweet Spot for the Tempest. . Supreme 2 Wpn Fighting is Nice, but it isn't necessary.

The problem with the Duelest is that you don't get to Wear Armor, and that can be pretty brutal since I doubt you'll be dumping a ton of stats into Intelligence.

That was a big part of the reason I decided to shy away from Duelist.

Another character concept I had was a ranger 1, fighter 2, monk 7, duelist 10 type character. The character would need some pretty nice ability scores in intellect, wisdom, dex, etc. to pull off this build though. Sure would be a fun character to play though!

I may try a Tempest later. For now, I'll probably stick with either ranger 2, fighter 2, rogue 16 (dual short swords) or fighter 4, rogue 16 (ranseur specialist with improved disarm, improved trip, and knockdown).

Thanks again for all your help,
- Kae.

One more question. How the heck did ya get 55 AC? I assume you had some cool magical equipment?

I don't have the Character Sheet in front of me but I'll build as best I can

10 - Base
+8 - +4 Mithril Shirt
+6 - Dex 24 (Natural 20 +4 Gauntlets)
+5 - (+5 Defending Short Sword)
+6 - Off Hand Parry
+2 - Twin Sword Style from FRCS
+4 - Buckler +3
+6 - +6 Ring of Protection
+6 - +6 Amulet of Natural Armor
------
AC 53

Throw in Defensive Fighting and Expertise/Superior Expertise and you're a variable Whirling Dervish. Now Given you've got alot of Bonuses from Magic Items (Ring and Amulet) but you've still got a little room to grow on the Mithril Shir and the Buckler. I do remember the total cost comes in under the Suggested PC Gold in the DMG.

Extremely nice combination of items and feats.

Thanks again for everything!
