Anyone know of a Leadership feat chain?

Crothian,

Thanks, you know I think I would not be too off base to say that you probably are one of the biggest parts of balancing anything that gets posted on these boards. I know you have given a lot of good advice to just about everything I have posted, and I appreciate all the help.

Thanks, that means a lot. Gaming is a passion for me and one of the few creative outlets I have these days. That mixed with a disapointing gaming group has taking most of my gaming energy and focused it here. I'm just happy I get to help people. :D

Man I hear you, I love to DM, it is my favorite thing to do outside of working, and I only like working because that is how I pay my bills.

I too am suffering from a d&d group fallout, so I am currently without group. It can be really tough to have great ideas for things to do, and no group to do them with. I can't wait till my group gets back together or I find a new one. Speaking of which, anyone in Utah who sees this is more then welcome to contact me.

The good thing is my group isn't dead. THe bad thing is my group doesn't want me to DM. I railroaded them and they complained, I gave them free choice and they complained, I ran combat they comnplained, I made them think and they rebeled. Plus, the way they rebeled was uncoll. THey talked about it for a while without telling me there was a problem. By the time they told me, they only wanted to have me stop Dming. THey had no interest to work out any of the problems they were having. But, I shouldn't be ranting about my group here. Sorry.

However, and people in Columbus, I'd be happy to jion a second group. :D

I my group was happy with the way I was running things. Although honestly, they had been together for quite some time. They were looking for a DM and I found then when I moved down from alaska. So they were happy to have a DM to run missions. The problem we ran into was they 2 out of the 3 could not play nice with each other, so one of them bowed out, and that killed the desire to play in the 3rd one, so consequently my group fell to pieces.

Another tentative idea for a leadership feat. I am not sure if this has been done in lots of other forms, but here is my idea.

Swarm Tactics [Leadership]
Your guidance allows your allies to work together more effectively.
Prerequisites: Cha 13+, Dex 13+, Leadership/
Benefit: Once per day, at the beginning of a round, when two or more of your cohorts or followers are flanking an enemy, you can increase their flanking bonus from +2 to +4 for that round.

Does this sound plausible?

I like that. Perhaps have it a free action once a round to any pair or group you can talk to. This way the followers are getting the bonus because of you directing them.

You think it should be usuable more then once per day. I was aiming for it being able to affect a lot of people at one time, but you think just having it affect two people, but usuable multiple times per day would work better?

I was seeing it as the Leader gives specific directions to a group that is doing the flanking. THis would limit it to one group at a time, but there would be no reason Leader couldn't do it as often as it applies. THe limiting thing is he can only direct one such group at a time.

I am trying to define the how it is done. Granted, many feats just allow you to do something without explaining how. So, I think it's a matter of taste.

Ok lets look at this from two sides. As it stands the current style of leadership feats allows for the ability to be used on any cohort or follower within a 10 foot radius.

If we keep in line with that, then it would be 1 group within that 10 foot radius, ideally the group with the largest number of followers or cohorts around a single enemy.

We could make it usuable multiple times per day, and it would apply to one group of 2 people within the 10 foot radius.

Perhaps you could have an improved version which would allow it to affect a group of 2 or more people around a single enemy?
