Anyone know of any Earth regional feats for d20 Modern?

I just wanted to know. I had plans of creating them myself. Although I would be happy if the work has been done or if there is something I could take ideas from.

Do you mean, feats that only a person from a particular part of the world would have?

Some feats common in my native Boston would include:

PARKING SENSE [General]
You can determine the legality of a parking space with uncanny accuracy.
Prerequisites: Boston resident 10+ years
Benefit: As a standard action, you can sense if a particular parking space within Boston city limits is in fact legal at the current time of day, day of the week, and season.
Normal: People without this feat cannot interpret posted signs regarding the legality of a parking space, and must simply take their chances.

SNUB [General]
Your disdain for tourists and other visitors is chilling.
Prerequisites: Boston resident 10+ years
Benefit: As a ranged touch attack, you can snub a nonresident. The target receives a Fortitude save at a DC equal to the number of years you have lived in Boston. If the save fails, the target is shaken for 1d6 rounds.

No, and there's definitely none in the core rules.

Designing such feats would take cultural sensitivity, IMO. A feat for people who live in cold regions that give a bonus to saves against cold environments probably wouldn't offend anyone (so long as you don't call it an Inuit feat or something like that*), or say a iajitsu training feat for anyone who has learned Japanese swordfighting**, but you always need to be careful.

* A person of European descent should be able to qualify for the feat if they're raised in such an area.

** Again, a non-Japanese person should be able to learn this feat, provided their character attended the appropriate school or found a good tutor.

Edit: Wait, I recall one such feat; Multilingual. It's for people raised in Switzerland, India, and other multi-lingual countries.

Not quite feats, but the second world sourcebook provides backgrounds that are similar to d20 modern careers.

The Babylon 5 earth alliance book had some, but they were not greeted with enthusiasm as they were regarded as rather steroetyping -- which regional feats essentially are, if you think about it.

Various blood and books have terrain feats (Desert Warfare... Urban Warfare...) as well as the Home Turf feat which just allows you advantages in your home area used for groups like gangs.

Personally, I felt ignored by the information in that book. Bonus Language section don't include many Island native language such as Hawai'ian, Samoan, even Filipino/Malay.

Unless Hawaii and many US Pacific Territories are so fortunate to have split from the US, according to JMS.

I wouldn't know about regional feats in particular, but perhaps feats based on the realtive wealth of countries, maybe.

"1st" world feats would be something like minor bonuses to skills such as: driving and computer. Perhaps balance it out with a funky reputation "bonus" some people like your country, others instantly have a dislike thanks to your country's "meddlesome" policies.

"2nd" world feats could offers something like driving and jury rigging systems (as tech try to get the latest gear to work with some obsolete stuff, or to use programs in creative ways, such using Kaza to download manuels and books they can't afford to have shipped to them.)

"3rd" world feats could offer a bonus on animal handling and perhaps a bluff skill for haggling purposes.

... and everyone needs cell phones. Quite a few tech network meetings I attended try to give you the impression that the United States has a big fetish for desktops and laptops and PDAs, while the rest of the world is using their cell phones for most of the same tasks.
