D&D 4E Anyone make a Binder class for 4E?

4E's Recharge powers are the closest analog I can see to the "You must wait 5 rounds before you use this power again" mechanic of most of the Vestige powers in Tome of Magic.

*rushes to read the grouped vestiges*

Also, a recharge is the closest thing we have to an "in-between" power. If it's too good to be usable every round, but not good enough to be restricted to 1/encounter, make it a recharge. There are effectively 5 levels of recharge to fine-tune balance.

And it's new, and different, and nothing else uses it yet. Isn't that good enough for you? ;)

lordkiwi: great work on Andras. I have a bunch of other D&D projects occupying my time (memo to self: finish up the incarnum conversion tonight) but I'll try to work in a vestige or two by the end of the week.

Memo, memo, who's got the memo?

In other news, I'm going to get another vestige done. This time? Well... I'm not sure yet. But you can rest assured that after I eat my ravioli...

(memo to Eldritch_Lord: add the incarnum conversion to the wiki)

As soon as I finish it, I will, don't worry. I've got the 4 races down and the classes' features and descriptions, and now I'm working on converting the incarnate soulmelds into powers. Of course, before I do that I have to modify the Class Creator part of my DM Toolkit to handle my ideas, and before I do that I promised to help someone on the Wizards boards with a project....

I've noticed there are few things on our little wiki that still need to be addressed.

1) How exactly should Pact Augments work? I've made a few changes and now it appears that you take the feat and get a free one, but you can always get one if your check is high enough? So, at max you could get two augments? Or should I allow the feat to be taken multiple times again?

2) Something about the pact making DCs seems to be off. It seems to me like they should be a bit higher. Bad Pacts should be common for characters with low charisma and poor training in Diplomacy. Augmented Pacts should be slightly harder than automatic for characters that are highly focused on charisma and diplomacy.

3) Um... yeah, actually I think that's all I have right now. I'm about to get started on something. Maybe Naberius.

Added a feat to allow binding of two vestiges. I don't think we should ever allow binding of more than two vestiges just seeing how the mechanics work out.

I guess I probably won't be doing anything with the vestiges at this point just because I don't have my book in front of me (work...).

One augment for a good check and another for a feat seem fine. For further augments you have a few of options.

A: Keep the DCs low and Augmernted Pact feat as written in the wiki.
B: Increase the DCs by 3-4 but have extra augments gained from additional feats... Paragon and Epic Augment (or similar). If you increase the DCs you can't expect people to get augments from exceptional rolling.
C: Something I haven't thought of.

I'd vote for option A at the moment (leave it as written).

For Bind Second Vestige the number you're probably after is 4. Otherwise your second pact abilities will be very weak.

Another couple of feat ideas:
Contingent Vestige: Summon a Vestige but bind it as a minor action later in the day.
Refreshing Absense: When you expel a Vestige you can use a healing surge.
