D&D 4E Anyone make a Binder class for 4E?

[crazy talk] the binding ritual as a skill challenge, the whole party working together [/crazy talk]

You know what... I love it! But I think regular vestiges should be normal rituals.

Some seperate group ritual rules would be fantastic, and including Vestiges in that would be natural.

Lord Kiwi,

P.S. I don't claim to be an expert but I've been doing some formatting on the Wiki. I've also made some changes that I think we have agreed on... but I could be wrong about.

can't be worse than my copy paste hack job :p

Edit: checked it, looks good.

I like the wiki, good move guys. I've been at work, so it's nice to see people are on the ball ;-P.

Um, oh, right, I was under the impression that we weren't just giving Pact Augmentations away (though that may not be a bad thing), but that you actually couldn't even gain Pact Augmentations without first taking the feat.

Didn't realise the Pact Augmentations weren't free with the feat.

I guess giving them away may have balance issues, but on the other hand this makes binder specialists more reliable, rather than hoping they don't get nerfed for the day by failing a skill roll.

Looking at it in hindsight, I'd be tempted to suggest we let players keep their current class features and turn the Vestige Class Features into Augmentations. An Augmented Pact then lets you pick two features on an augmented pact and you have feats, like the origional ones, that say 'regain all except one encounter power' etc.

What do people think to that?

Also, what about the revised DCs and how about linking vestige powers to one stat but making an augmentation to change that stat?

Lord Kiwi,

To the "players keep their class features, make vestige features augments" bit, I say neigh. If you're handing out powers which are of a specific role what use are they if they don't give you faetures to really take advantage of them? I think keeping your own features should remain the privilege which requires augments.

As far as the new DCs I lke them. Linking vestige powers to a single stat soudns good. I assume you mean a single stat depending on the vestige? Sounds good, and a feat that lets you change it is even better. Sounds like we're getting somewhere!

Another nay vote here. Restrict them to feats if you must to balance adding them to class features, but don't make character features dependent on the randomness of a skill check.
