Anyone miss the old UPN?

I liked Special Unit 2. Thought it was fun.

I do miss the Sci-fi channel as well. No more monster movies for awhile please. And while I love Stargate-SG1 showing reruns of it for 1/3 of your programing does not qualify as meeting your Sci-Fi quota.

Don't forget UPN's attempt to feed off X-Files popularity: The Burning Zone. The thing I missed about 7 Days was the hot Russian scientist, Dr Vukavitch.

Sci Fi used to have decent programming with actual sci fi shows! There was that goofy 'what if tabloid stories were true?' show, The Chronicle, and of course my fave, Farscape. Lexx was entertaining as was the Invisible Man. How nice that Sci Fi went to such stellar programming as Scare Tactics, Tremors: the Series and Mad, Mad House.

Ditto. It was utterly ridiculous on so many levels, and qualified as "crap" programming on so many more... but I still managed to enjoy it. I miss the gnome.

What I'd really like is a Sci-Fi channel that actually shows Sci-Fi, from time to time, instead of reality shows and lots of crappy horror movies. I mean, I like Stargate SG-1 as much as the next guy, but why is so much of what they produce just so bad?

I know. Where did the science fiction go on the sci-fi channel? Everytime I tune it it's either crossing over or some stupid reality tv thing.

Wasn't Jake 2.0 just last year? Seems a little soon for nostalgia.

As for Tru Calling, I loathe the show. Here's how each episode seems to flow when I watch it:

1. Introduce base plot for this episode

2. Chat

3. Re-explain base plot for this episode

4. Have Eliza Dushku wear something slightly revealing, if it's one of the better episodes. If not, chat.

5. Explain base plot for this episode

6. Move story forward slightly

7. Explain base plot for this episode

8. Move story forward slightly

9. Explain base plot for this episode

10. End of show

If they could stop repeating the storyline for the episode every 5 minutes it might be bearable to me. 3 episodes (spread out through the season) are enough. Bleh.
