Psion
Adventurer
I plan on using it for my new second world campaign. True, it is a new campaign, but I am not going to do anything like refigure treasure in published adventures or anything like that.
The differences in cost do not bother me greatly. First, I don't strictly enforce the level item GP totals. If I am off here and there, it's not a big deal. Since the costs are not usually different by a factor of 2 in most cases, I don't think the final values on an average character will be that off. (In the cases where they are different, there is usually a good reason and, as the thread linked earlier shows, it often compelling that the Artificer's Handbook is right.)
I don't see me having to recalculate a lot of costs. The only time where I really need it is if I am making a new item, or the PCs are buying or selling something.
Making new items is really where the system shines. The core system is a little limited in what it can do without a lot of finagling or relegating to "minor artifact" status. But the fact is, even items that might be called "minor artifacts" would have buy and sell values. The spell slot system handles a lot of conventions that are pretty much outside of the purview of the core system.
Incidentally, I put up a review of it Thursday night, for those interested:
