AoO and cover from a friend

Ok, let's say F is friend 1, G is friend 2, and O is an Ogre in a 10' high dungeon room:

-G--
----
-F--
-O--
----

Now let's say Friend 2 moves 10 feet as such, marked by 1 and 2:

-G--
-1--
-F2-
-O--
----

Does the Ogre get an AoO from him due to reach, or does his buddy provide enough cover to prevent it? Note that the Ogre is basically as tall as the dungeon so he can't make overhead attacks.

My basic question is, can an opponent with reach be denied an attack of opportunity from a character that's blocking another moving character?

It's possible to say no because a medium creature would only provide 1/4 cover to another medium creature when a large creature is involved. For those of you who say that, if the moving character is a small creature in front of a medium party member, would that change anything?

If none of that floats your boat, change the ogre to a medium-sized polearm fighter. Does he get an AoO?

If the Ogre is using his Greatclub, then... Yes. G is moving out of a threatened square (#1 in this case), so he provokes an AoO.

If the Ogre was using his huge Longspear, then G would have provoked an AoO from moving from the square in which he started (assuming he moved more then 5ft.).

[edit] And to further answer your question... F isn't providing 1/2 or more cover to G, so the AoO can happen.

Why wouldn't F provide half cover for an AoO if he does when the Ogre tries to hit the guy behind him?
If G were to move behind F, and stay there... then there may be sufficient cover. But G is continuing on to #2 which is exposing him from behind F... and provoking the AoO.
