Or better yet, if I take a -20 on my grapple check whilst grappling with The Tarrasque, I can attack someone 30' away?

[zin]One must become like the tarrasque to grapple with the tarrasque.[/zin]

So, if I'm riding on my purple worm (Space of 20'), swingin' my spiked chain...I threaten 44 squares?

48, but otherwise correct. It's the same situation as someone riding a horse threatening 32 squares.

Technically, no.

The ability to take a -20 penalty to your grapple checks and consider yourself "ungrappled" is limited to creatures with the Improved Grab special quality.

Yeah, but I'm a wildshapin' druid :). I see myself clinging to the tarrasque's leg, hollering, "Yeeeeee-HAW!"
