Apathy: OOC Discussion Thread

I just recieved the reply to that email.

Here's the jist of it:
The ISRP are busy right now, and it may be some time before they can get around to handling our request. However, if we want to rob one specific Marshal rather than the tower of Evengill itsself, we will need only that WizO's permission.

I'm thinking of going along with this suggestion in order to speed things up.

Where do the rest of you fall?

Let me see. What could me Order do? Well, the the Grinning Skull are involved, the two Orders have quite a vendetta. Maybe the Scorpion could come in as a result of getting wind that the Grinning Skull is active again? The Scorpion is an Assassin's and Thieve's guild, so if anyone has any slightly different ideas then... by all means, share. I like suggestions from people and that.

Hi! Jea!

I think that that is ok...to only try and rob one marshal..though consider this:

Suppose the guild meant to keep going as planned and then get misinformation such that they only rob one marshal. It almost makes more sense the accidently stolen item of power would be in teh hands of an individual as opposed to whole group. That fills in a major detail of how this little heist turns into a big artifact hunt.

How about we go raid the Tower of Evengill, then end up sacking one of the Marshal's room (if I remember correctly, some do live in the tower.)?

Jea's idea would work, considering that Jeajea was the one who foiled the first Grinning Skull messenger et al. I have Aysel checking out Apathy, so she might be the one to hear of the theft (that is, if Apathy isn't very tight-lipped about it ;)).

I'm basically with the rest of you on this. I think Felicity, Sharp and Jea's ideas for involving Scorpians and Grinning Skull should work perfectly.

How exactly the robbery goes on will, of course, depend on which WizO we can get to aid us with the storyline. Could be in Evengill, could be in their house, could be right in the marketplace (this might actually be best as we would get to rp it out), or anywhere else.

I'm going to see if I can find a WizO to volunteer. I'll let everyone know what I turn up.

For the time being: What do you think the item should be?

1. A porcelain figurine.
2. Something edible.
3. A magic sword (duh).
4. A helmet/hat (with long feathery plumes).
5. Luxurious jewellery (rubies come to mind).
6. A bag/sack.
7. An onyx comb.
8. A gem (ruby, emerald, diamond, etc.).
9. A furry orange kitten.
10. Shoes.

And roll a d10... ;)

I just wanted to say that I did not turn the idea down, but explained to Nugan that Adele and I are currently in discussions over my position in ISRP and the conclusion of these discussions will affect the Juxta Coordinator position, so suggested that the group rob individual Marshals and once everything on our end is squared away either she or I or both of us can start working with him on a coordination of robbing the tower. It's just you came and proposed this at a time where I'm not sure if I'm going to stay with ISRP or not. ;)

 But, but... I'll miss you here Bailey... ::sniffles::

I wish you luck with where ever you end up. ;) (Hehe.. of course, it's not like we'd lose touch. You're my best friend and all)

As for the Marshal to Rob, I would be willing to assist in this guys. Anyone can rob from Reesa, but the exact items that are stolen would require privately discussing it with me. I'm not going to post secrets on the boards, but I am willing to talk to you guys about what kinds of items you might get.

Those who know me know that I am willing to do nearly anything for a storyline. Are you looking for just stealing items, or looking for something larger.. like perhaps a kidnapping or two? I have a perfect character that you could kidnap, that would affect two Marshals, at least. ;)

Just drop me a note (Reesa@wizardsmoderator.com) and we can discuss it. Nugan - you know where to find me off the boards, so we can chat there. ;)

Reesa

Bailey, sorry if I gave the wrong impression to everyone. That's what I intended to say. You were nothing but helpful in your explanation, and I didn't mean to imply otherwise.

Reesa, thanks for offering. :) I'll contant you to go over specifics.

Nugan, any update on the maps I drew for the Apathy site?

Without sounding like a jerk, I'm really beginning to regret doing them. Not because they're not on the Apathy site. . . But because, to me, it seems like little effort has been made into trying to post them on the site, or at least keep me informed.

Considering the ridiculous hours I put into making them, this little effort (whether it's true or not) really hurts. I was told I would have an answer over a week ago.

And, going by the updates I have received, the guy in charge of the Apathy website hasn't even seen the pictures yet.

So. . . is there any news to share regarding those images I did? Have they even been reviewed by the webmaster?

Thanks

Eidrog
