Apologies from HinterWelt to RPG Objects and fans

HinterWelt

First Post
We would like to apologize to any fans of RPG Object's Darwin's World and our own customers for any misunderstanding concerning copyright, licensing or ownership of their title Darwin's World: Another Man's Treasure. For the past six months we at HinterWelt Enterprises have requested repeatedly that their listing of Darwin's World: Another Man's Treasure be removed from our catalog by One Bookshelf staff. To date, although reassured that it was done, it has not been rectified in their catalog.

We have, over this time, received several emails from concerned customers warning us of copyright infringement, piracy, or design misappropriation. We wish to assure all game buyers that HinterWelt Enterprises has the highest respect for an individual's personal as well a company's intellectual property. We would never knowingly violate such rights or laws.

Again, our sincerest apologies to RPG Objects as well as the public for this misunderstanding. We will continue to work with One Bookshelf to resolve this issue to everyone's satisfaction.

Erm, that link goes to a product called "Blazing Jets" by Fat Johnny Games' .
It appears that OBS has rectified the situation. I thank them for resolving it so quickly.

Nope. It still links to Blazing Jets (for me, anyway).

Edit: unless of course you mean they've finally removed the listing from your products, in which case the above point is moot :)

Obviously it's a database error that lists an RPGObjects product as a HinterWelt one. It's scary that there are a lot of dumbasses out there who couldn't figure that one out on their own and felt the need to send those emails. :uhoh:

I don't have the slightest idea what RPGObjects, or Another Man's Treasure, has to do with your post.
I am sorry, I thought I had been clear. It was listed under our catalog on OBS. I have receive several emails within the last week that have advised me on pirating, stealing the design of, and IP infringement of the title "Another Man's Treasure" from RPG Objects. I was making a public apology for any misunderstanding by customers about the incident. In the end, as the publisher of the catalog that had this title in it, it is my responsibility to resolve (i.e. remove) the problem. I wanted to make a public announcement to the effect since there had been such a spike in concerned emails.

Is that clearer?

Thanks,
Bill
