- The Witcher, awesome
- Sins of a Solar Empire (although I'm getting tired of it)
- IL-2 Sturmovik 1946 with a new Saitek HOTAS and a webcam head tracker
- Finished Jade Empire SE
- Freespace2, available free online

- Waiting for the new rig for Assassin's Creed PC
- Mass Effect PC in May

I want to say that I think these threads are awesome and I always read them. :)

I just reinstalled Diablo 2 on my laptop. I also decided to replay God of War on my PS2. And my daughter got a DS, so I've been playing Super Mario 64 DS and Brain Age.

My wife is on level 50-something of Fate.

I'm about to start a new NWN campaign based on the original X-COM. Other than that, I've been playing a full season of NBA2k7 as the Sacramento Kings on the Xbox 360.

It seems to me that there just haven't been that many big new releases lately, at least nothing that interests me. GTAIV should be a big title, but other than Sins of a Solar Empire and some XBLA stuff I haven't bought anything new for either the PC or the Xbox since last December.

I have to agree to the addictiveness of the Elder Scrolls games as well as Master of Orion 2. I find myself totally absorbed.

Right now I am playing some games I never got around to. The Gothic Trilogy and TOEE. I had to quit the first Gothic game early and haven't started the second. It became such a grind, had numerous bugs, and the puzzles were sometimes frustrating (Oh... I was supposed to keep the orc hammer... ).

Anyway, the Temple of Elemental Evil is extremely buggy and I had to get a number of patches to make it playable. Also, the game is very hard since identifying items and healing people from disease gets expensive and there just isn't enough gold or sellable equipment to be had. I remember a lot more treasure in Gygax's pencil and paper version. So I cheated and used a hex editor so I could get some extra cash and cure the half of my party that was diseased (disease happens a lot in this game). Besides all these issues, it reminds me of Baldur's Gate although the BG series was much more immersive. If Troika had more time and resources this could have been a great game.

Temple of Elemental Evil is a lot better with the Circle of Eight patches. Among other things they let you cheat a little and identify potions with Read Magic (you could always identify scrolls that way, something I'm surprised how many people don't know). I don't remember having money problems except very early in the game - and the very beginning and very end are the hardest parts of ToEE, from late in the moathouse through almost the end of the temple proper is a breeze (exceptions to this, off the top of my head, are two battles that aren't necessary in order to finish the game, one of which is unique to the Co8 patch).

As for the actual subject of the thread, lately it's been all about the GBA emulation. Final Fantasy VI Advance, Tactics Ogre: The Knight of Lodis, Riviera: The Promised Land, and a little Donkey Kong here and there.

Currently:
Perfect World (MMO)
Dawn of War (saw it for $4 in a clearance bin and picked it up)
Overlord (infinite replay value-burning peasant burn)

My rig is on its last legs and couldn't play anything new anyway. So I don't really bother picking up a lot anyway.

Well, i was playing Condemned and Rainbow Six Vegas 2 but my brand new x-box (less than a month) just started locking up for no reason at all. It will turn on and within a minute just completely lock up, no clue whats wrong.

Bad thing is im in Kuwait deployed right now and I dont think I'll be able to send it out and have it back here before I leave, so will probably have to wait till im home to do anything about it.

Doh! I was using identify on potions AND scrolls... hence my early money issues. Also, my henchman keeps taking way more than his share of treasure.
