I'm re-reading Fiasco by Stanislaw Lem. It's a book about making contact with another species and the extreme difficulties the crew face when confronted with something truly alien.
I remember playing the Battle of Poitiers using the old 2nd Edition Mass Combat rules. Is it an historical retelling or more of a fictional account with the battle as a backdrop?
Fiasco's a great read. Where did you find your copy? There was a line in print some years ago, but I don't see them on the stands anymore.
Still needing to read Invicible, and a couple of others. I rather liked The Futurological Congress and Eden. The four are in a similar style, a bit different than the Cyberiad, and different than his fictional reviews (which I find I dislike).
