APS - Martial Warlock

"Et in Arcadia ego" - Even in Arcadia, I exist. (the title of a pair of paintings by Nicolas Poussin)

The Arcadian does not crusade for paradise in the hereafter, but to create one here and now...

Primal Bard is tricky. Voice of the Wild?

I'm sure there's a perfect word out there, I just don't know it..

(edit)
Here's one for stating the obvious:
Martial Paladin: Knight or Crusader

Aye he champions the same cause as the idealistic hermetic magus (Wizard)
(Bring it full circle - Arcadia is a real place name in greece too, hermes = greek messenger god )

Those are all awesome. So, arcadian works? Something about fey knight makes me think it should be the primal paladin, though. But, I really do like it for this one, especially now with the information ya'll looked up.

Thank you for all the help and suggestions on these, btw, to each of you. :)

Ah, the endless circles of etymology... Watch out, or we might start finding meaning in the chaos!

@ Malcom: It's a pleasure *Tips hat

I would say Arcadian works and leaves things open for somewhat less fey interpretations too. There is an eternal flavor struggle is faerie magic = nature magic ... fey is weird impossible to fathom nature (so it is arcane and yet it is nature)... The Arcadians/Justiciars of my world are not necessarily very fey in nature.

I really enjoy it, this is like a big reskinning project, ie flavor is important and for me that is where d&d has always been strong even in earlier editions where I wasn't always happy with mechanics.

I think those Asia Cover art are inspiring too. ;-)

I like magus. God Touched not so much; call me quirky. It's probably because of the god-pact warlock feature for the divine warlock (disciple).

We are bound to have some perceptual overlaps:D

Looking at core differences between the warlock and sorceror...
one is born in to sorcery and one sort of choses warlock hood.

ones relationship to the source of sorcery is relatively benign...both
direction it makes you stronger... in multiple ways, this is already
a fairly divine like relationship...

Usually where as your warlock source you are making agreements so that maybe it gets what it wants and maybe you get what you want you dont necessarily understand it... you may be tricking it and it may be tricking you... the warlocks power may be painful... or weirdly the opposite.

Being "touched" is frequently that others no longer understand you in fundamental ways (... you arent necessarily insane which is rather the real life reference... if it is truly divine it might be misunderstood as such)... most do not asked to be touched... it is not the choice a warlock makes.

hmmm Oath Takers (Clerics) and Oath Breakers.(Warlocks)

The Soul Bound - The Proscribed

A disciple is a learner/student of the divine almost sounds like a term of humility used by some Magi

A Geasa is a ritual behavior oath created by primals in order to shore up their relationship with a primal entity - Primal warlocks?
