Arcana Unearthed or 3.5 PH???

Not sure what one to buy this week, I can only afford one. thoughts?

AU... It's not a PHB replacement, Monte claims, but it sounds alot cooler

Simple enough question. If you're unsure, buy AU. I plan on getting it later, but it's compatible with what you've already got, and is from Monte, so it's sure to be good. If you're really looking forward to 3.5, then get that.

I suspect you already know the answer, you just want us to tell it to you, so you can blame us.

I'd rather get AU if it's between those two. Neither one provokes more than a lukewarm response from me, though, to tell you the truth.

You can get 3.5 through the SRD, besides its just more of the same as 3.0.

AU is something different.

AU sounds cool. If you are forced to make changes by 3.5 anyway, why not make bigger changes?

Arcana Unearthed. It's something different for D&D, and that's good.

3.5 isn't anything special, and as people said, the important changes are in the SRD. Not that I'd be quick to adopt any of 3.5's 'improvements'.

Much as I respect Monte's work - and I think AU is going to be exceptional - it just isn't D&D, and that's what I want to play.
