I thought the cardboard horses worked fairly well, as they could be removed from the map relatively quickly - they don't stand up to water, though - we'll need to make more before we play next.

I'd be happy to laminate them so that they are slightly more durable! :)

Our first session is here and gone, and it went pretty well by most accounts. If you have questions or comments about the general session that can't be dealt with in a more specific thread, this is place to put them.
Sounds like it was a cool first game!

Yes - I think we're shooting for the weekend of the 10th of June, but something earlier could still happen, depending on various schedules. I might run a side thing for some of the "new" characters before then - if I do, I'll let you know. :)

Indeed! Jeremiah's girlfriend Nico is looking to play, as well! :)
Right. Nico is who I was referring to, as she's new to the whole RPG thing, as opposed to Kat - who's just new to the current campaign.

It's a big group if everyone shows up to play - we might need to do a semi-permanent "split up" depending on if/how interest increases or decreases, in fact. Nonetheless, I want to sort of see how things go before I start splitting people off into sub-quests, etc. So, for the moment, we're a big (happy?) family. ;)

Expectations of Game Frequency

Hey guys...sorry if this has been addressed by the group at large earlier...but I was wondering what the "expectation" for gaming frequency was. In other words, do people plan on playing every other weekend? All day? Other ideas?
I'm not trying to schedule anything, I'm just trying to figure out how my schedule fits in with everyone else's.

Well - there was a time when we played every weekend. However, I don't know that that is the expectation this time around... or that there *are* any expectations. Though, I like to game at least every week - it doesn't have to be Kennon's modern game.

Kennon has addressed the issue of attendance in the Table Rules pretty clearly... if we schedule a game, we need 50% of the players or 4 people - which ever is smaller. I also believe that you reserve there right to include (or exclude) yourself in the 50% if you so desire...

We're just hoping to have fun, so come when you can! :)

But seriously, I think an afternoon/evening once every two weeks is about what my expectation is. There are times when we can manage something closer to three times a month (times of the year when there's just less going on), but I don't imagine I could write fast enough to support a game that regularly met any more frequently than that.

The only caveat would be if we need to split up the group into two (or more) smaller groups - that will alter my planned scheduling somewhat. Of course, I'm not counting short catch-up sessions and little side quests that can be taken care of in a couple of hours.

Does that make sense?
