Archivist and....wisdom?

I'm playing an archivist and noticed something strange. My DCs are based on int, I gain spells known equal to 3 + int, and I need a minimum int to cast spells. But my bonus spells....are based on wisdom. Now, I've seen classes that split stats, but they usually split a bit more. So is this a typo, or is that how it rolls?

This is correct, and it is how it rolls. The spells known at level 1 is pretty much negligible (and makes no sense to be anything other than Int), so really there's only 3 things that matter to split, so you can't have more than a 2:1 parity.

Knowing pieces of information (spells) = Intelligence, check
Expertise in using that information (DC) = Intelligence, check
Initial allotment of spells = Intelligence, check

Bonus Spells = Wisdom, hmmm don't really get it... and I have been thinking about this a little bit. The only thing I can think of is that they still have a sort of connection to a deity or being, so the bonus spells are 'granted' that way?

Maybe someone else has a better role-play rationale.
