Are Any Publishers Planning to Continue Support For 3.5?

I'm guessing that unlike what happened in 2000, the release of 4E will create an enormous schism, with a sizable chunk of players not wishing to switch to the new rules. This will leave a pretty good chunk of the market feeling disenfranchised and without official support. In my opinion, other than being one of the first to jump into the D20 pond, this would be the ideal time for a small but strong publisher to release 3rd edition material. Are any publishers currently planning to do so?

I think you will continue to see strong support in the pdf marketplace. However, I doubt you will see new 3.5 print products simply because the distributors won't order them and game stores won't stock them.

While Dreamscarred Press will be supporting 4E, we will continue to support 3.5 psionics, as well, as long as our fans continue to support us. :) We are in discussions on specifics, but dual-version releases may be a possibility for some of our products.

There are a lot of things we haven't even touched on yet with 3.5 psionics... if we can, we'll keep on keeping on.

I plan on releasing and supporting 3.5 D20 and OGL material. Personally, I don't think I will be picking up 4e to play, but we will most likely release a few products for 4e for the customers who like our products and like 4e.

Creative Mountain Games will continue to support 3.5 and likely come out wth 4E products, as well. I'll need a look at the new SRD before the final decision is made on the latter.

...which is shockingly more than you might think...

It's 90% of PDF publishers for a start. So there's a couple of hundred companies who will be supporting 3.5 for the next year!
