Go ahead and grumble about Logue, at least he has actually done something to complain about. (I do think that taking preorders on new unwritten products before other, older, products, also preordered, have actually been written was bad form all around.) He should probably have thrown in the towel a good deal sooner than he did.

The blame lies with Nick..and I have no sense of humor left about him or his company.


I admit I'm jumping the gun on LPJ....Maybe he/they are totally awesome!!!

I do hope so.


But, I'm saying this to both clarify and reiterate my previous posts:
If LPJ is picking this up, they're/he's almost saintly...I mean, AWESOME! I am very very excited to get the product I paid for years ago.

ON THE OTHER HAND....

Given the context of being upset because they didn't get the contract from Sinister, and then making a joke about it, harping on it, and shoving it back in the faces of the patrons(?) (those who preordered RC)...is obnoxious.




So, in finale, to clarify...I'm either excited to buy from LPJ or I'll likely never ever buy from him/them in the future. I don't usually experience this "black and white" experience from a publisher/seller.

But there ya go...That's my perspective.

To be fair, I'm the one who posted the link to the LPJ Design thread in this thread, not Louis Porter. If it is a joke then yes, I fell for it.

Taking people's money up front and not paying them back when you fall through is serious stuff and I don't want to make light of that fact. But please don't lump Louis Porter in with Nick Logue because I posted that announcement in this serious thread.

Edit: Also note that Louis made no mention of the people who weren't paid back or imply in any way that they would be paid back in his announcement.

No. Louis, as far as I know, is good people.


I DO worry it' is a joke...the whole thing has been such a mess. Frankly, I've had a sense of humor about it, I've supported it, I've wavered, I've supported, I've felt bad about supporting, I"ve asked for SOMETHING from Nick that he said he'd produce, and so on.



I'm just saying, quite simply, that if it's a joke, then it's in poor taste.

However...if it's not a joke, then I applaud LPJ. I do like his/their stuff.

(BTW...can anyone tell me if LPJ is just the guy or the whole company, with people working for him and such...I get tired of typing "his/their")



In any case....I'm kind of bitter about the whole Sinister/Logue experience....and I'm very, very, very impressed with Lou Agresta, who did more than edit a product (from all accounts), he just about saved RC and Sinister (and potentially Nick as well). Plus, his 3pp stuff is pretty awesome.

So, I guess I'm both projecting my anger towards Nick and Sinister and feeling upset/offended for Lou Agresta (who busted his balls) if this should be a joke. Really, LPJ has either picked up a project I want finished, or made light of something that is a sensitive subject for multiple reasons. I really hope the former...and I'd applaud them for that.

Well lets be a bit fair to the folks that preordered shall we under Nick and sinister? While I have nothing against LPJ, It might be considered a bit of poor taste to tease and make the the announcement on the same april fools day that nick did after years of frustration of being lead on by nick and sinister......

It is in poor taste but if he had done the pre-announcement on the 1st or announced something real on the 1st with the rc initials it would have been acceptable. Not funny and poor taste but acceptable. As it is it is neither funny nor acceptable - and I am sure I am not the only one that will not buy from him again. RPG is a small industry and it is foolish to annoy your client base

Well, that's something positive, at least. I haven't had a response to mine (at least, not last time I checked).

Hopefully we'll see something soon - both a refund and the release of RC!
