D&D 2E Are there any websites or blogs that review AD&D 2e adventures and books?

Given that WotC is release TSR backlist of 2e books and modules, I've been searching of for websites or blog dedicated to AD&D 2e that might have reviews for these products.

AD&D 2e certainly isn't a popular edition--its campaign settings are--but I've yet to find many websites beyond purpleworm.org and Thac0's Hammer (but I'm not really into podcasts). AD&D 2nd Edition Hold Out has been dark since Jan. 2012

I'm looking for something that highlights the strengths of a product, instead of simply denouncing it as railroad (in the case of many 2e modules) or overpowered (like The Complete Book of Elves).

I figured I put this out there, but I feel like I might be searching in vain.

Thanks!

Sadly, I haven't really hit 2E material yet; you may find a few reviews on rpggeek.com. At some point I want to review the 2E adventures - there are some that are surprisingly good - but I've been more busy gaming than reviewing recently.

Cheers!

There's not really a good one stop shop place for 2e reviews. Your best bet is to do a google separately for each title you're interested in. For any given title, there's usually someone on a blog or forum who's done a good review.

With the exception of Spelljammer, Maztica, Al-Qadim and Birthright - I have almost every 2nd ed product (and have DM'd most). I'd be happy to share my group's experiences with specific adventures. Ask away!
I have been DMing AD&D (2nd Ed) for about 3 years. Really enjoyed the desert I3, I4 modules. Do you have any other 2e adventures for higher-level characters that you would recommend?

What do you consider high level? I4 is for levels 6-8 for example and the recommendations for 6-8 modules are fairly different from those for level 10+.

I enjoyed my read through of Return to White Plume Mountain which is for 7-10. I did not run it but I ran the 1e original and had a great time with it.

I also enjoyed running a bunch of the 2e higher-ish level Ravenloft modules such as Web of Illusions for 7-9 and Ship of Horror which is 8-10.

Also 1e and BECMI modules are fairly compatible and expand the range of modules available. A lot of X series expert level (4-14) modules might work well for 2e. I used B1 to start off my 1e campaign smoothly in the 80s.

Although this doesn't help with reviews, I frequently see people claiming that the Dungeon Magazine adventures from the 2e era are better than the "generic" (not associated with a campaign setting) 2e adventures.

Not to say the generic 2e adventures aren't good, but you may want to expand your search the the Dungeon Magazine issues with 2e content.

I don't have a good link for Dungeon Magazine contents handy and I have to leave, but I will try and track one down later if no one has added one to this discussion.
