Are there plans to update books?

I am the mysterious professor.
Are there plans to update books like Elves of Golarion? The stats there don't match the core book. Could it be possible to make this update available to those that already purchased the books without a need to buy a new copy? I didn't know if this has been discussed before. I thought I'd ask.

AFAIK there are no plans to back update any products. I asked this at the Paizo forums and the answer was no from James jacobs. The entire PfRPG has been set up to be easily backwards compatible, so there is no real need to update them. At least, that is what JJ said :)

I e-mailed Paizo customer service with the same question about the Campaign Setting and got the same answer - it's all backwards compatible (with a few tweaks), no plans to update.

If you look at the PrCs in the Campaign Setting, they already obey the HD/BAB correlation of the Pathfinder RPG. You just need to combine or delete class skills as warranted and subtract 2 from all the good save progressions.

For many of our later 3.5 products, we did try to work forward and make sure that the design elements worked well with the then-unreleased rules for the PRPG. So yeah, things should work pretty well still, even though the "elf cheat sheet" on the inside front cover's out of date.

We've sort of assumed here at Paizo that if/when an older product goes out of print, and if/when it makes sense to reprint that book, we'll update what's needed so that it'll work nicer with the PRPG rules while still making sense to 3.5 gamers. As of right now, though, nothing's actually hit that magic reprint stage... although some books are getting close.

For those that do hit the re-print stage, what are the plans (if any) for updating PDFs? By this I mean, will those of us who bought the originals be notified of changes, and will we be able to get those updates free or will we need to purchase them again?
