Yeah, we know that it's been all player empowerment and leaving the GM with the bill. Maybe they think people saying 5e is house-rule/design friendly means DM-empowerment?
... It just means that it's a little easier for the DM as they try to pick up the slack left by the system

You also added nothing to the conversation so I don't know why you bothered. Your statements on this have been extremely exaggerated to say the least, then instead of trying to support your claim you just state what basically comes down do "My opinion is fact because I say it is." What kind of response did you expect?
The rules are important to the game. It's also important to remind people that the game is what we make it. While I occasionally read about people who have basically rewritten the game, most DMs follow the rules and guidelines of the game fairly closely. However, that still means there's a lot of flexibility in play. If I make a ruling that deviates from what is written 5% of the time, I'm still following the rules the other 95% of the time.
Saw a tweet today that reminded me of this thread...
I'd like to see the DMG previews stop gushing about how things are improved for new players, how monsters are going to hate stuff, & new features designed to be frustrating dungeon masters in order to make room for talking about what they did not say when hyping the PHB(this is relevant to some of the hype the DMG needs). Wotc has done a lot over the last decade to encourage players & groups like the Jason from the tweet & the PHB does a better job with subtle additions like the player facing session zero sidebar in the character creation section.
All of that Jason & PHB talk is relevant to the DMG because of the same reasons Perkins kept needing to
NO BAD to Kenreck & explain that it is perfectly fine for the GM to choose directions like the multiple choice examples that did not favor players most in the one video so far dedicated to the new DMG. Admit the problem that has been encouraged to fester over the years and tell us what in the DMG is aimed at empowering DMs with new/better tools that are useful to the DM. Do not give us videos about what the players will love in the Dungeon Master's guide without the bulk of that discussion being about how those areas of the DMG are useful to the DM.
