I'm still running 3.5e, but it's turning into 4e as more rules get revealed. :)

Same here! Plus, we applied some of the 4E design principles when we overhauled the paladin and a warpriesty PrC for two of our players. I'm still running my 3.5 campaign but it will wrap before june, and it will definitly be the last game of 3.5 for me. :)

Yeah, I'm still running, hmm, let me count, four different 3e games. Now, once we switch, I don't know that we'll go back, but I'd prolly be willing to play or dm 3e again. Heck, I've occasionally run 1e games in the 3e era, so why not?

2e, on the other hand, I'd only play under... difficult... circumstances.

Goodness, no. I'm not any more done with 3e than I am done with 1e or Paranoia or Mutants and Mastermind. I expect I'll switch to 4e at some point, but that doesn't preclude me from playing or running 3e again. Fun games are fun games.

Anyways, my main game isn't switching (it is moving towards winding up) and Sagiro's game isn't switching. My next campaign will be in 4e, though.

I chose "depends"

I have ***NO*** desire to ever run a full blown 3.x game again. I stopped in 2003 and dont plan on starting up.

HOWEVER, I would def run the 3E basic game I bought..err...Santa bought...for my son. He's starting to show a (very) little interest...but its hard to pull him off Wii and Crackemon cards. :\ The minis help. In fact I may get the new D&D minis game as a way to get him interested more, even though I personally abhor minis.

Otherwise, No thanks. I'm looking forward to 4E and if that ends up not my cup of tea, I've got my mish mash of C&C/1E/BX, and Gary's LA to fall back on.

If there's anything this past weekend's game taught me, it's that no matter how good 4e might be, I won't be done with 3e -- our group has too much fun with it. :)

However, it doesn't mean I wouldn't mix elements of the two, if they were compatible, or if it had some really good system-independent ideas.

Ironically, four of the six players in our 3.5e game are using elements of the Book of Nine Swords in their characters...

My last game taught me that I'm ready for 4e. I was worried that my character's abilities wouldn't be usefull for the rest of the module -- the module in question had a major bad effect happening whenever someone changed forms, and I was playing a shifter -- and considered creating a new character as a replacement. I found myself dissatisfied with all the choices. The Book of 9 Swords has been satisfying to play with, and I find myself wanting more options along those lines... wanting options I suspect will be plentifull with 4e.

Fortunately, my DM has indicated that she will modify the module in some way so that shifters aren't pointless, so my need to create a replacement isn't critical.

I said "never DM, would play". I think 3e is perfectly playable. It's just a pain to run/home brew. I would probably be willing to run modules, but I wouldn't do a ground-up campaign like I've done with every other system/edition I've ever run. Even then, I'd prefer to home brew nWoD, Aces & Eights, Fantasy Hero, or Shadowrun than run a 3e module. The previews of 4e have me considering D&D on equal terms with those games, after my current campaign wraps.
