For some stupid reason GM doesn't like losing 2 days worth of production in one week, they still lose two days of production for the month in addition to the Thanksgiving Holiday.

I work for the University of Toronto, which puts on its own Remembrance Day ceremony; yet, despite this, it still requires its employees to work through the day. I find this kind of disgraceful. How can we award a day off for Canadian Thanksgiving, a holiday of complete made-up nonsense, and not celebrate a holiday honouring real people and important events!?
I went to the ceremony and then had to attend a technically optional yet practically mandatory presentation.
