Are you ready for some Football?? (the Pros)

that was a good game

Agreed, I thought it was a great game for the first of the season for both teams. I happened to be watching the pre game show when the two teams met at centre field. You sure can tell that they don't like each other.

The Falcons looked much better then I expected. I try to not like Michael Vick, but man can that guy play. The Eagles showed flashed of a great team, but they just couldn't keep it together for the whole game.

Yes, if they get a starting linebacker thrown out of the game before it starts and injure McNabb (if not badly enough to keep him out of the game), I guess they can win.
Because that was exactly the plan...

You gotta admit, finding a way to open by exchanging a pawn for a rook is brilliant strategy.

I understand that many people are happy to see Moss go. And it might eventually be for the good of the team. I just think a lot of Vikings fans are going to be wanting him back after Minnosota does not so good this year. But I do get what you are saying.

That may be so... but changes do happen to a team. Even moreso when you get rid of a problem player with a major 'tude complex. Even though he was a good back, I believe Miami got rid of Ricky Williams when he decided to come back to football after his stunt from (I believe) last year. He was a good player but the risk was too high of him pulling the same stunt again.

Miami still has Ricky, he's just suspended for the first four games.

Ok. I haven't kept up with them to see if they still had him. So, why was he suspended those 4 games?
Like Crothian said, drugs. One reason he retired was because it came out he failed a dope test (too much of the Halfling weed) and that he was in trouble. Part of the agreement with the league in coming back was that he had to serve a 4-game suspension for that violation of the league's substance abuse policy.

He should be lucky he wasn't banned completely from the sport.

I guess he came back because he could no longer support his habit due to lack of pay....
