Are you ready for some Football?? (the Pros)

This shall indeed be an interesting year. My Falcons get started tonight. If they can beat the Eagles, I'll be very optimistic.

Don't get your expectations too high. The Falcons were extraordinarily lucky last year (going 11-5 despite outscoring their opponents by only 3 points total), and Vick still can't pass. And the Eagles are still far and away the best team in the NFC.

Nah - Falcons take 'em tonight. :)

Big game for the Jaguars is next week - at Indy.

Of course, the Jaguars beat them there last year, and should have no problem doing it again. :uhoh:

Heh. That's what I'm hoping. :D

THe reason they only out scored their opponents by 3 points was becasue of that KC game last year. Take out that game and they had a much better looking score.

You know, I've heard that a lot, but I don't agree. I saw a think on the Falcons from last year, and Vick was perfectly capable of passing. Beautifully. And the Falcons have an improved defense from last year, which was one of the league's best. And they led the league last year in rushing.

Vick definitely has room to improve, but Atlanta is a pretty solid team. I'll stay confident. :)

You all have failed to mention one of the biggies this week, which was my beloved New Orleans Saints upset of the Carolina Panthers

Yeah, those Saints cost me a $137.00. I was 5/5 on my proline ticket, and all I needed was the Panthers to beat the Saints. I thought it was in the bag. Didn't happen.
