First Post
So I'm watching tonight's 24, and my local televsion station, for some unknown reason, airs the last half hour of the show without any sound!

*bangs head against the wall*

I generally know what happened, based on the visuals, but can anyone explain the last half of tonight's episode in more detail? The sound cut off right before Jack was about to enter the embassy.

Jack gets the target, but the target gets shot in the process and the consul (?) is killed by friendly fire.

The target is alive but fading. He agrees to reveal the location of Marwan, but not until he has a signed guarantee of protection from the President. Meanwhile, back at CTU, Jack’s girl tells her husband that she wants to get back together with him. Moments later he crashes and the doctor rushes him into an emergency surgery.

As the van nears CTU, the target goes critical. By the time they make it to CTU, he is at death’s door. Jack & Co race him inside and yell at the doctor that he must be saved, but the doc is in the middle of an operation on Paul. Jack is desperate because his only lead is about to die and a nuke will be detonated any time now. He pulls his gun on the doc and forces him to abandon the surgery on Paul to save the target.

Paul dies moments later while Jack’s former love interest goes crazy with grief. “I hate you Jack!” and all that. The Chinese ambassador calls Palmer and international tensions spike.

Good episode, but the best part for me was the previews for next week, where it becomes clear that the terrorists do not plan to detonate the nuke on American soil, but instead intend to launch it at China! How cool is that?!

It was a great episode when Jack busted into surgery and forced the doctor to work on the chinese guy instead of ex-husband and ex-husband died. Thank god that story line is over, except the break up crap.

I told my wife after that episode: "This show masquerades as a thriller, but it's really about the question of whether or not Jack will lose his soul."

Uhm...please, wait after the whole scenario is finished. Like everything, lets deal with the fallout later, and not now.:uhoh:

And oh, Ms. C, after the shoot out...didn't feeling anything for the killer that took out her team. Hmmmm, the next 'Jack'?;)

The question certainly doesn´t seem to be how far will he go, but if he can get back.

I suspected a nuclear attack way back when since using a bomb on a US city after the meltdown attempts just didn't make sense.

this episode was pretty good, but I wonder if it would really be that easy to break into a consulate. I wonder if Palmer will blame the break in on the terrorists ("they must have known we suspected what's-his-name was involved and wanted to shut him up"). And this episode confirmed what I already knew: once again, Jack doesn't end up with the girl. He should make a play for Chloe...

Well, I tend to think the computer guy (how is he called again) is more interested :)
