Armor enhancements

Is it possible to add armor enhancements to something other than armor (i.e. adding any kind of fortification to bracers of armor).

I seem to remember something along these lines from some book somewhere, but I don't remember where or when i read it.

If memory serves, you can enchant Bracers exactly as you would normal armor, they simply don't provide a non-magical AC bonus.

Right. The only reference in a WotC publication I'm aware of for adding armour special abilities to Bracers was in the A&EG.
