Armor Specialization and Adamantine

Damage Reduction [Epic]
Prerequisite

Con 21.
Benefit

You gain damage reduction 3/-. This does not stack with damage reduction granted by magic items or nonpermanent magical effects, but it does stack with any damage reduction granted by permanent magical effects, class features, or this feat itself.
Special

You can gain this feat multiple times. Each time you gain the feat, your damage reduction increases by 3.

That's all I can find. Oh well. Guess permanent DR x/-- does stack in several specific instances, but not for Adamantine armor.

One wonders where you're getting that 'most' from, but whatever.

Personally, I'm a stickler for having my abilities not be fully dependent on my gear. As such I'd much rather take the feat because it can't be taken away from you.
Actually, it can. You need to be wearing the right type of armor. It is much easier to replace. But unlike most defensive feats it is pretty easy to lose if you lose your gear.

1) If you're a fighter type who wears light armor, adamantine is a weaker option than this feat. There are a lot of these. Remember, an adamantine chain shirt is only DR 1/-.

2) Mithril plate is worthwhile if you have a dex of 10 and gloves of dexterity +6. Or dex of 12 and gloves of dex +4, etc. If that is your situation, this feat is tempting.

3) That being said, I'd probably let it stack, because meh, why not. Which I think is a valid argument in D&D.
