Level Up (A5E) Armor

I note that the armor in the starting equipment section in the recent Herald playtest document is very different from that in the Fighter playtest document.

"Mail Hauberk" and "Mail chain shirt" in the Herald vs. "chain mail" and "leather armour" in the Fighter.

Has some evolution in the equipment taken place?

I don't really know anything more than you but yes levelup5e.com mentions something about mechanically distinct weapon & armor choices I think was the wording & we got this the other day
