Arrested Development

So, i was looking through the tv season on DVD at our local vidieo store and I noticed the show Arrested Development...

Watched the first 2/3rds of it. Its funny, a bit odd, but funny. I have not had anyone even suggest this show, here or in real life. Is it not popular? Has anyone else seen it, and do they enjoy it?

It's a great show. It's not that popular, but it's gotten great critical reception and a loyal cult following. That said, it's not really either fantasy or science fiction, so I'm not sure if it's supposed to in this board.

I watch it sporadically. There is really a wide range of humor in this show, most of it leaning towards the absurd. There is goofy slapstick to be had and there are witty cultural references. I laugh hardest when the main character keeps talking about how he wants to escape the family and flashes back to all the abortive attempts. Overall I think the quality is very high and very much worth watching.

My wife, however, watches it religiously and laughs like a hysterical monkey on crystal meth, which is pretty entertaining too.
